Trade vans and tools

Trade tool theft is at epidemic proportions in the UK and it increased by 30% in 2016 reaching £35.5 million. Protect your tools now and have full ‘peace of mind’.

Van Security:

Parked up for the night or parked around the corner from the job, your van is an easy target for the professional thief.

Put a uWatch Cube inside your van and if someone breaks in, you will receive an alert to your smartphone within 60 seconds. If someone steals your van you can track it with the Cube’s GPS.

The PIR sensor will detect any movement. The shock sensor will tell you if The Cube has been moved. For extra security, you can place individual bluetooth tags on door handles, and if someone attempts to use one, you will be sent an alert detailing exactly which handle was used.

Site Security:

Storing tools and materials on site? Within a minute The Cube can be set up to alert you if someone is on your site; trying to open doors, steal oil or clambering over the scaffold at 3.00am!

Take pictures of your vulnerable tools:

Its quick and easy to use the uWatch App to record the most valuable and vulnerable tools you have with you, including serial numbers and descriptions.

The pictures are date and time stamped and stored on the cloud and so can be used for positive identification and evidence.

As the information is stored on the cloud, you can send the pictures to your insurance company and ask them for a better insurance quote.

If you were unlucky enough to be a victim you can send the Police and insurance company pictures of what was stolen.

Lockup:

Think your tools are safe because you transferred your tools to your garage or shed? Think again … an empty trade van tells the thief your tools are probably nearby. The Cube it portable, move it to your lockup over the weekend.

The main features of The Cube are:

  1. PIR Sensor – Detects any movement within a 135 degree angle
  2. Camera – Takes Date and Time stamped photos with a wide angle
  3. Bluetooth ‘movement’ Sensor – If the cube is moved or knocked, you will be sent an alert
  4. Temperature Sensor – You can define a temperature range that if exceeded, you are sent an alert
  5. GPS – You can track your Cube’s location

Bluetooth “Loop” Tag

£30.00 Incl VAT

The Tag is a Bluetooth movement sensor that can extend your Cube’s capacity and monitoring range, approximately 50m in a clear line of sight.

One cube can monitor up to 10 tags at the same time. You can attach your tags to the inside of the van door or to any equipment using velcro coins, cable ties and screws, which we supply for every tag purchase.

If you have several tags the alert sent to your phone from the Cube will specifically identify which Bluetooth tag it came from. You can name your tags, therefore allowing you to identify where the attempted theft was e.g. ‘Grey tag on electric chainsaw’

If you attach a “Loop” Tag to your van or your equipment and someone attempts to open the van or move some equipment, with minimal force the movement sensor will ‘wake up’.

When a Tag is disturbed it broadcasts via Bluetooth for 30 minutes. Your cube will ‘wake up’ every 60 seconds to check whether any of the movement sensors have been disturbed. If the Cube detects no movement it will ‘sleep’ to save battery. If it detects the sensor has been moved, the Cube connects to the GSM network and sends an alert to your phone within 90 seconds.
